CARVATŪ YELLOW PAPERS™ are invaluable in the textile
dyeing industry for the instant determination of the end point
in the conversion of vat dyes to the leuco form. A vat dye
bath
properly set with hydrosulfite (sodium dithionate) and caustic
soda turns this test paper turns a bright blue.
For the convenience of the dyer, the book contains 40 strips
of Phenolphthalein paper for a fast determination of caustic.
They can also be used for the important checking of effluents
and wash waters for pollution.
